SMART CAPS was born to fulfill the technology demands of the food and drug industries. Most SMEs do not have an R&D department due to financial reasons or because they do not understand the importance of such a unit. R&D is the driving force in knowledge-based companies and the dynamic of these companies in a very competitive market.
Our passion for chemistry and pharmacy combined with our academic background and vast experience in the field made it possible to present different solutions to unaddressed problems in the food, drug, supplement, and cosmetic industries.
Focusing on micro and nanoencapsulation of APIs, we developed a variety of technologies in this field that can protect APIs from decomposition or deterioration in the formulas caused by contact with oxygen, exposure to light, or UV irradiation. These new formulas have better absorption in the body after consumption, higher aqueous solubility, and the ability to incorporate hydrophobic APIs in water-based products without any surfactant or emulsifiers.
We successfully transferred our technologies to various industries that are used to develop new products in the field. The technologies are appreciated and approved by the scientific community and knowledge-based committee of the science and technology deputy of the presidency.
